Food that make us happy in winter

1. Nuts

According to American scientists, nuts help us to cheer up. Which will work best? Forest nuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds and all other species. The fact is that nuts contain a large amount of protein and magnesium. Magnesium promotes the conversion of sugar into energy.

Experts say that the greatest amount of vitamin B6, which positively affects the nervous system, is contained in almonds. It is vitamin B6 that processes tryptophan, which we get with food, into serotonin - a hormone of happiness.

A good mood is not all that nuts can give. They are also known for helping to lose weight. This is due to the content of a large number of useful elements, vitamins and minerals. Nuts help regulate metabolic processes, stabilize cholesterol in the blood and increase hemoglobin.

Nutritionists say that in a day an adult can eat 20 grams of nuts. Depending on the type of it you can eat: 20 pieces of almonds, 15 cashews, 45 pistachios, 10 walnuts, 30 hazelnuts or peanuts.

2. Dark chocolate

Dark chocolate is another product that makes us happier in winter. Probably everyone knows that chocolate is an excellent remedy for depression. Why is that? Because of the content of such a substance as phenylethylamine. It helps in the development of endorphins. The type of chocolate is important. It certainly must be dark chocolate from cocoa beans.

Dark chocolate also  has soothing properties, helps strengthen the cardiovascular system and stimulate mental activity.

Do not forget that even if chocolate is useful, 100 grams of it contain 539 kcal. Therefore, the daily intake rate for an adult is up to 25 grams (this is approximately 2-3 squares).

3. Oranges

Oranges, as it turned out - are not only a valuable source of vitamin C. This fruit also helps us to cheer up. Oranges give vivacity not only when we eat the, but also simply when we smell them.

Only one smell can calm the nervous system. Moreover, if you start eating oranges on a regular basis, you will strengthen your immunity. The daily intake of orange for an adult - 2-3 pieces.

4. Bananas

Bananas also make people happier. They contain vitamin B6, and it is very important for good skin and hair. The lack of this particular vitamin leads to chronic fatigue and a bad mood. How many bananas can you eat per day?

Dieticians say that the daily norm for an adult is 2-3 bananas. This amount helps to fill the norm of potassium, improve efficiency and mood.

5. Hot pepper

Hot pepper is very useful in winter, as it helps kill pathogens and increase immunity. But that is not all. It is proved that all kinds of hot pepper (for example, cayenne, jalapeno, chili) help to cheer up. This is due to the content of capsaicin (burning taste). It acts on nerve cells and thereby produces endorphins.
